Important Updated Info on Tonight's Orphan Run...

In the Orphan Run race packets, you will find your race bib #, t-shirt & safety pins (for pre-registered 5k-ers), and sponsorship info & goodies. At tonight's race, participants will need to stop by the chip table and pick up their assigned chip. Your time will not be recorded without the chip so please be sure to arrive early to allow time to pick that up before the race. Timeline is hosting our race and that is how they prefer to pass out chips, vs. putting them in the packets. They say it prevents people from forgetting them the night of the race. Thank you for your patience & cooperation!

When you arrive at Stone Canyon (177th and 76th street in Owasso), you will be directed to park in the parking lot west of Stone Canyon Elementary. Please allow time for this as you will have to walk a short distance to the registration tables just south of the school. (An arrival time of 5:30 or 6 pm should be appropriate.) The 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 6:30 pm and the 5K will begin at 7pm. There is a slight chance of rain tonight; however, the race will continue unless there is lightening in the area.

Be sure to stop by the vendor booths - Project Hope Worldwide, Arubah Community Clinic, CrossFit Primus, Girly Me Missions, and Chick-fil-A will all be there.

Please plan on staying for the fun family-friendly entertainment after the race! Pack your lawn chairs and blankets and bring jackets for unseasonably cooler temps! Enjoy the sounds of Kirkland Field, savor the delicious food by Trails End BBQ, and cool off with yummy shaved ice by IceCrystals. Kids, be sure to say "hi" to the Chick-fil-A cow, snag a free sandwich and pick up coupons for a free cookie!

Being our first race, when we first started planning the Orphan Run, we thought we might be able to get about 200 runners but 500 was our "big dream goal". Excitement built over the Run, word spread, and thanks to you, we are now expecting between 700-800 runners! Thank you so much for helping the Orphan Run become such a huge success and for giving orphans in Uganda hope for a better future. We look forward to making this an annual event and we hope to see everyone again next year!

Now let's get out there and have some fun - all for a great cause!

"Your hand,
Your help,
Their hope!"
